To conclude the month of February, I was able to distinguish 3P’s before this month ends (maybe I got inspired by the 5S seminar I attended). These are: People I learned from, Places I’ve been to and Parties we celebrated.
PEOPE I LEARNED FROM
1. Ms. Miriam E. Miravite - Mrs. Miravite is our speaker in the 5S seminar. She is the OIC Board Secretary VI of RTWPB IV-B who happened to be a Christian. She said, her life was twice featured in 700 Club, haven’t seen it though. Hers was full of adventure, challenge, drama but became colorful because of what Jesus did to her. All her life stories were made for God's glory. I was truly inspired to listen to her testimony and the people she leads to Christ. She is currently the head of their intercession group in the church, actively involved in several bible studies in the office and her mobility at work (going from places to places) allows her to share more of the gospel. A very proud and blessed mother, she has a son who is a Pastor and a daughter who is boldly sharing gospel even inside riding a jeepney. She is already separated to her spouse but the Lord comforted her that JESUS is her HUSBAND. During our conversation, I never felt boredom. I felt motivated, lifted, encouraged and blessed. Thank God for this deep, spiritual and vibrant woman of God!
Taken during the 5S seminar2. Victory group of Kuya Serf - I belong to a different Victory group but I got invited once into my hubby's group led by Kuya Serf. I thank God for the group of Kuya Serf. His group is composed of mostly elderly, aged 40 and above. The topic that time was on marriage and everything that I heard was very timely. They mentioned about personal experiences in handling anger, conflicts/arguments, Jesus as the center of marriage including some parenting tips. I was truly blessed to learn from the wisdom of the elderly! God planned us to hear those advices.
Kuya Serf was the one wearing dyed blue shirt beside AL
3. BNC Safety Officer - During my conversation with one of my officemates, his words struck my mind and my heart and I agree with him. He said, “In my previous company, people obey me because they know that I am their leader. However, I do not see they’re respecting me because I am still young. Now, people obey and respect me because they know that I know my craft and I care for them. Leadership is not about imposing your authority over your subordinates. It means serving them, understanding them and caring for them.”

PLACES I'VE BEEN TO
1. Palawan (5S seminar) - This is my second time for this year to be in Palawan again. Hence, I grabbed the chance to purchase fresh sea foods at a cheaper price. My officemate also gave me turkey. First time for me to taste a turkey which we grilled at home. Thank you Lord for providence.
2. Nasugbu, Batangas - We were invited to be guest in a wedding of Al’s colleague. It was a Christian wedding and we are blessed to witness their blessed union.
3. Clark, Pampanga - We witnessed Hot Air Balloon Festival with the family and my cousin’s family. What is so remarkable for me that day was the first time I heard Ceana counting one to ten during our travel going home. Amazed at her development! Thank you God!
4. Club Manila East Resort, Taytay Rizal - We did an ocular visit to this resort after having a buffet lunch in QC. My brother offered that we drop by first to the area so we’ll know what the resort offers. It was a nice place, has kayaking, slides, etc. While kids were playing and we were having our halo-halo as afternoon snack, we had short chat about our family lives, how kids behave now a days and other sorties. It was good to reconnect with siblings once in a while. And it was good to have a "kuya" and a sister-in-law to bond with.
PARTIES/LIFE WE CELEBRATED
- Sam’s 5th birthday where teacher Cherry was gracious enough to spend the celebration in their classroom.
- Mama’s 61st birthday and John’s 2nd birthday held at Cafeteria Buffet in QC with my sisters and family of my brother Gerald.
- Lola Kikay’s 100th birthday. Though physically, we were not able to go to Bicol, spiritually we are thankful to the Lord for the long life He granted to our ever loving Lola Kikay. It’s amazing to be blessed with such long years of life!
- Water Baptism of AL /Victory Weekend held last Feb 25-26 was truly awesome. This is his first time to be water baptized and I am looking forward to more things that the Lord will do in my husband’s life. Thank you God!
Maybe, the last P that is so significant for me this month is PROMISE from his word. Exodus 25:46 says, "They will know that I am the Lord their God who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I AM THE LORD THEIR GOD!" This is so comforting and very timely, it's as if the word is speaking directly to me that HE alone is MY GOD.
I’ve got a lot of memories to share. Giving thanks to the Lord will always be part of my heart because the Lord is truly good and loving to his children. Lord, I am amazed by you at how you loved me. Thank you God for the month of February. All glory belongs to YOU :-)
